Social Entrepreneurship at its best – Microfinance and the Revolution in the Third World

This article discusses how the hitherto unbanked poor and the small entrepreneurs have benefited from the microcredit and microfinance revolution. The article examines this revolution in lending to the poor from multiple angles including analyzing successes, diagnosing the reasons for some notable failures, and listing some suggestions on ways to improve the system as well as draw conclusions from the lessons learnt.
